(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 29, 2018 – Paul Pokorski and his Pokorski Motorsports team enjoyed another solid night of 360 Sprint Car competition at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis. racking up the team’s fourth heat race triumph and 14 top-10 A-main finish of the 2018 campaign on Saturday, Aug. 25.

With 26 PDTR Sprint Cars signed in, Pokorski started on the pole of the first Sprint Car heat race. The 26-year racing veteran jumped out to the lead on the drop of the green flag and motored away from the field to notch an impressive victory in the 10-lap event.

After lining up sixth in the 25-lap PDTR Sprint Car headliner, Pokorski found himself running seventh when a red flag was displayed on lap 11 for an incident on the frontstretch involving Doug Wondra and Robbie Pribnow, which sent Wondra flipping.

On the restart, Pokorski briefly challenging Brandon McMullen for the sixth spot before Kevin Karnitz pulled off a slide job to seize the seventh spot from Pokorski on lap 14.

In the closing laps, Justin Miller moved in to challenge Pokorski for eighth before he eventually seized the position with a slide job on lap 24 to push Pokorski back to ninth when the checkered flag fell on the race, which was won by Kurt Davis.

“The car ran well in the heat race and I was pretty confident that the A main would go well, but I was obviously disappointed with the result,” Pokorski said. “The car didn’t feel terrible, but something was lacking, that’s for sure.”

The Pokorski Motorsports team was scheduled to compete in a Midwest Sprint Car Association event at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam on Friday, Aug. 24, but rain forced the program to be cancelled.

With four events remaining in the Midwest Sprint Car Association season, Pokorski sits third in the MSA point standings. He also stands fourth in the PDTR Sprint Car point standings, 65 points out of first place, with three races remaining in the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 2018 campaign.

The Pokorski Motorsports team is preparing for the final doubleheader weekend of the 2018 Midwest Sprint Car Association season as it travels to the Outagamie Speedway in Seymour to compete with the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Association on Friday, Aug. 31.

The EWSC program, which also features IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, Grand Nationals, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Compacts, will begin with racing at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 1, Pokorski will return to The Plymouth Dirt Track with the PDTR 360 Sprint Cars, which will be joined by the Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series for an all-Sprint Car program during the Sheboygan County Fair. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with IRA qualifying and racing to follow.

“I’m really looking forward to this coming weekend,” Pokorski said. “We ran at Seymour a couple of years ago. It’s a nice track and I’m anxious to see what EWSC has done with the facility. The fair night at Plymouth is always a great atmosphere. It should be an exciting weekend of racing. I can’t wait.”

Pokorski Motorsports Sponsor Showcase – Quest Engineering Inc.

Pokorski Motorsports will like to welcome Quest Engineering of Richfield, Wis. as a new sponsor for the 2018 racing season.

Quest Engineering focuses solely on full overlay cabinetry and complimenting custom products, including kitchen, bath, closets, garage, entertainment and commercial casework projects.

Quest’s skilled team of customer advocates, product specialists, engineers, production managers and operations team rely on a continuous improvement philosophy to pave the road to success.

Founded as a contract wood products fabricator in West Bend by brothers Chris and Todd Lefeber in 2001, Quest operated on mostly manual machines until adding CNC equipment and parametric engineering software to its repertoire in 2006.

In late 2008, Quest Engineering made the move from a direct sales to a dealer sales model with an increased focus on its capacity as a manufacturer. Quest moved from its original facility in West Bend to a newly renovated production facility in Richfield in fall 2012.

In May 2015, working with equipment, software, and special service vendors, Quest expanded with the addition of a second manufacturing plant. Housing a flexible casework production cell, a custom fabrication cell and a small warehouse, a new facility in Jackson was opened, featuring a design center and showroom.

“We spent time working on new sponsorship for this year and we are very excited to have Quest Engineering on board with us for 2018,” Pokorski said. “Quest is a local manufacturer of quality cabinets and we encourage our fans to check out their line of products.”
